In 2012, that initial public access was expanded to government coverage and then further expanded in 2013 to educational content. That long, unwieldy name was a bit of a mouthful, so the community began to refer to Hingham Community Access & Media simply as “HCAM”.
To better serve the South Shore communities, our name brand name changed in 2017 to "Harbor Media". The name change comes along with a direction of growth and improvement in programming for local communities. Our team is dedicated to creating programming that matters, teaching media arts, and helping community members create their own shows.
